Lockheed Martin machinists will vote this week on a new labor contract after a deal was struck with the company. After a two month strike, Lockheed offered a new labor contract after four days of negotiations with the union that represents 3,600 striking employees. "Lockheed Martin's revised offer will be unanimously recommended for acceptance by the union bargaining committee to the membership at the ratification vote early next week," Greg Karol, company vice president of labor relations, said in a statement. "We look forward to having them back on the job, building the world's best fighters". Earlier in April, union members went on strike after unanimously rejecting the company’s latest offer saying that they opposed the intended changes.
