Rolls-Royce Receives $183M Contract for Service from US Army

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has received a contract valued at US$183 Million to service M250 engines, which power the US Army’s fleet of OH-58D Kiowa Warrior scout helicopters. The contract, to support 500 M250 engines on more than 300 aircraft, begins in July 2012 for a year, and the Army has options to extend the contract for four additional years. Rolls-Royce has supported the Kiowa Warrior fleet for 13 years, including placing Field Service Representatives on more than 20 in-theatre deployments to support the Army. Rolls-Royce currently has 23 Field Service Representatives supporting 11 Kiowa Warrior units.
