Patrik Dovskog, Head of Helicopter Systems for the FMV, said, “The government-to-government procurement route helped to ensure fast aircraft deliveries and associated training for the armed forces, along with full logistical support from the U.S. Army and Sikorsky”. The U.S Army is modifying the aircraft with equipment, with an exterior rescue hoist, gunner seats, armored floor, stackable litters, a cockpit heater and environmental control system.
