Quickstep To Deliver Wing Flaps For C-130J Hercules Aircraft

Quickstep announced that it has won a $12 million contract to produce and deliver wing flaps for 24 Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules aircraft. The contract will manufacture carbon fiber wing flaps in which each set will comprise of four parts with an aluminum structure and skins of carbon fiber composite, providing light, strong components capable of great endurance and longevity. Delivery of the product will take place at the end of 2013 with two sets per month. Mr. Philippe Odouard, Managing Director for Quickstep, said, “We are delighted to receive this further purchase order for the C-130J Hercules contract, which continues our substantial progress since Quickstep was awarded the tender in March, after bidding in an internationally competed program. We are proud of our relationship with Lockheed Martin. This contract builds on our growing reputation for providing high-quality carbon composite products to global supply chains”. Lockheed Martin has contracts to produce components for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, which was expected to generate up to $700 million revenue over the next 20 years.
