UTC Aerospace Systems will showcase a full range of ISR capabilities suitable for Army applications during the Army Annual Meeting & Exposition (AUSA) show, in Washington D.C., October 22-24. Operationally proven laser warning capabilities for airborne and ground application which enable the detection and categorization of laser rangefinders, target designators and beamriders will be on display at the show. Highlighted are the Cloud Cap Piccolo autopilots providing feature rich capabilities with superior performance and reliability, along with the Cloud Cap TASE gimbals; these offer the highest performance in the lowest SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) in the industry. UTC Aerospace Systems short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras are also on display. These cameras offer SWIR capability in a compact format, with high resolution. Their lightweight size and ruggedized housing make them suitable for helmet and rifle mounting, while still being able to capture images through obscurants such as fog, haze and smoke. Army aviation technologies on display include HUMS technology for helicopter applications together with Winslow life raft technology and hand-launched micro-UAS products. The guidance, navigation and control technologies shown include terrain reference (TERPROM) navigation software and micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) inertial sensors.
