Cyber security is one of the major highlights at this year’s AUSA where major companies are introducing advanced solutions to address evolving threats. Lockheed Martin has developed a solution called the DIAMONDShield C2 platform to perform a wide range of intuitive decision-support aids that allows them to plan and execute air defense missions with greater speed, higher confidence and reduced ownership costs. "DIAMONDShield transforms operational command and control of air and missile defense assets into a collaboration and optimization of assets," said Cliff Spier, vice president of C2 Solutions for Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions-Defense. "We have brought everything together to provide users with an integrated view of a complex battlespace". DIAMONDShield hosts a suite of Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities that enables warfighters to manage a continuous C2 cycle, operating at the speed of the battlespace. UTC Aerospace Systems will also present its latest ISR solutions for airborne and ground application which enable the detection and categorization of laser rangefinders, target designators and beamriders. ViaSat Inc. will also be introducing its network ready portable satellite terminal called VMT-1220P which can be used military ground and maritime operations. Optimized for ViaSat's worldwide broadband network, so mobile and dismounted warfighters can send and receive live full-motion video over the horizon, make secure phone calls, and access classified networks worldwide. "The military services have a variety of choices for portable satellite terminals, but the missing ingredient is the network," said Larry Taylor, VP, ViaSat Alpha Innovations Team. "What we offer is unique: packaging and performance that is ready to go on a worldwide broadband network". ITT Exelis will also boast a bevy of cyber security capabilities including advanced integrated airborne ISR systems like FELCO and Vigilant Stare.
