Indian Defense Minister Struggles Into Pilatus Cockpit

As India’s newest trainer aircraft, the Pilatus PC-7 Mark-II, made its first maiden landing at Aero India 2013 in Bangalore, India everyone including the defense minister wanted a closer look.

Unfortunately for Defense Minister AK Antony, who arrived at the air show dressed in traditional clothing, climbing into the jet became quite a task. Antony had to be helped into the jet by several IAF members including Chief of Air Staff, Air marshal N.A.K. Browne.

Antony (72) was seen relying heavily on members of his security crew as he made his way out of the cockpit.

Meanwhile, India will begin inducting 75 Basic Trainer Aircraft from 2013 with the last delivery to be concluded in 2015.
