Israel’s Experimental Missile Unit Get ‘Horizon Ray’ Radar

Israel’s Experimental Missile Unit has been equipped with the new "Horizon Ray" radar which will greatly advance its abilities. The new radar will join the existing tracking devices and will allow the unit to execute its routes in a more controlled and safe manner, according to the Israeli Air Force.  

The IAF's Experimental Missile Unit is in the process of integrating new, more advanced radars into its ranks: radars that will allow the unit to conduct various missile trajectory routes in a safer manner. The new radar is called "Horizon Ray", and its capabilities include many advances, including a larger range of communication, and extensive tracking capabilities of various targets simultaneously. 

With the help of the tracking systems, the unit examines the progress of the missile in question and receives all relevant data regarding to its performance. This data is crucial since in certain situations, the unit may detonate the target before the experiment is over. The "Horizon Ray" radar will advance the unit's abilities and has proved to be very reliable. 

"The 'Horizon Ray' radar is one of the force's most advanced systems. The radar will work with the unit's existing systems and will be synchronized with them", says Lieutenant Colonel Guy, commander of the unit. "Today, we are in the midst of the final integration stages of the radar into our everyday work, and will soon be able to include it in every experiment conducted by the unit".
