Raytheon Company has recently won three Pentagon contracts worth more than $105 million combined.
The first deal is worth $9.8 million, a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for "Plan X" mission execution software aiming to design and develop a "runtime environment" for executing "cyber operations mission scripts" -- beginning to standardize how cyber warfare operations might be conducted in the future. This contract will be completed by Oct. 31, 2017.
The second deal is worth $19.6 million, a modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract to perform design and engineering analysis on AIM-9X Block II Missile Systems for the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force, and the government of Saudi Arabia. This is to be completed in June 2014.
The final one is worth $75.9 million deal, a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to perform Standard Missile engineering and technical services. These services include R&D work, production engineering, and production proofing services for the U.S. Navy. Initially it’s expected to complete in December 2017. However, if the options to extend the contract are exercised, the value could rise to $316.5 million.
