Erickson Air-Crane Incorporated announced today the signing of a Master Agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft to build fabricated aircraft assemblies.
The total contract value is more than $5.6 million. Erickson expects to recognize the majority of contract revenues when assemblies start shipping in 2014 through 2015.
Udo Rieder, Erickson’s Chief Executive Officer, commented, “By extending our capabilities beyond the company’s core fleet, we will implement a strategy that leverages our expertise, infrastructure, and manufacturing capacity. Erickson’s close working relationship with Sikorsky is supported by our unique capabilities in manufacturing, engineering, and design. The recent acquisitions of Evergreen Helicopters and Air Amazonia demonstrate our heritage as experts in heavy-lift helicopters, and position us as an excellent partner across a number of important platforms.”
