URS Awarded Contract at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center

SAN FRANCISCO --- URS Corporation today announced that its EG&G Division has been awarded a re-compete contract to provide Operations Support Services at NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The contract, including one base year and four option years, has a maximum value of $153 million to URS.>> Under the terms of the contract, EG&G will provide facilities operations and maintenance services for Marshall Space Flight Center, which occupies more than 1,800 acres and employs approximately 8,600 people. The facilities include approximately 250 buildings, test facilities, and other on-site structures, which range in complexity from large rocket engine test stands to major office complexes and warehouses. EG&G will also furnish management, personnel, equipment, supplies and other resources to support Marshall Space Flight Centers work.>> Commenting on the contract, Randall A.
