Quantum3D today announced that it will be at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Florida from Dec. 2-5 showcasing  Mantis real-time image generation software, the Independence IDX 7000 image generator for visual simulation, and the ExpeditionDI self-contained, wearable and fully-immersive close combat infantry simulator training platform.

The latest version of the award-winning Mantis image generation software will be demonstrating several new advanced features, including improved lighting, more realistic particle effects, and more flexible mission functions processing capabilities. Mantis will be shown running on a variety of hardware, including commercial PC platforms as well as Quantum3D's Independence series image generator.

ExpeditionDI will be showing off new capabilities, including support for Bohemia Interactive Simulations' recently-announced VBS3 software platform. Designed to deliver a realistic immersive 3D training experience, ExpeditionDI is deployable on-base or in-theater for individual or squad-based training, as well as large scale joint training operations. It is equipped with a high-resolution Head Mounted Display (HMD) and fully integrated wearable computing pack to respond simultaneously to multiple body and weapon movements. These advanced technologies enable an infantry squad to move through and interact in a virtual environment while fighting and communicating as they would in a real-world combat situation.

Quantum3D will also be demonstrating its flagship Independence IDX 7000 image generator. The IDX 7000 provides unmatched performance and image realism in an extremely compact package. Combined with Mantis shader-based real-time management software, the IDX 7000 will be displaying a rich variety of geo-specific worldwide synthetic environments and scenarios, including Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo operating out of Spaceport America.

"As one of the premier simulation and training shows, I/ITSEC provides an ideal venue for Quantum3D to showcase our leading technologies in virtual training solutions," said Pratish Shah, President and CEO, Quantum3D. "Our solutions are in use worldwide, and we are excited to show our continued innovation and new solutions at the show."
