DRS Technologies Inc, a Finmeccanica Company, announced today a contract award to design and produce a Hybrid Electric Drive (HED) propulsion system for South Koreas future Incheon-class multipurpose frigate known as FFX Batch II (FFX-II). Thales and DCNS today announced the comprehensive modernisation programme of the Colombian Navys four Almirante Padilla class frigates has been concluded with a successful Sea Acceptance Test of the classs fourth ship.
