ATK will manufacture more Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles (AARGM) for the U.S. Navy under a third full-rate production contract, UPI news website reported August 15.

The contract is valued at $96.2 million and includes Captive Air Training Missiles.

AARGM is a stand-off, air-to-ground tactical missile system that upgrades the existing HARM weapon system with a new guidance technology. It is used by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the Italian Air Force. It received Navy approval for full rate production in 2012.

The Navy said the new full-rate production contract includes missiles for Italy under an international cooperative major acquisition program.

ATK, manufacturer of precision-guided weapons, missile products and rocket motors, provided no details on the number of missiles to be produced under the contract and their delivery schedule.
