Rocketsan, Lockheed To Build Missiles for F-35

Lockheed Martin will produce cruise missiles specific to the needs of F-35 Lighting II jets in partnership with Roketsan, the company announced today.

"Lockheed Martin has a long history of partnership with the Republic of Turkey and we look forward to working closely with Roketsan on the very important project," Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Executive Vice President Rick Edwards said in the statement published Wednesday.

Edwards confirmed that the missiles will be tailored to the specific needs of the F-35 Lighting II jets. The missiles are to be developed and produced jointly.
