China's Proposed Command HQ To Focus On Winning
Xi Jinping, Head of China's Central Military Commission (CMC)

China's Central Military Commission (CMC) has approved a guideline promoting the construction of modernized command headquarters to enhance the military's operations.

The ability to command an army to win a regional war in the age of information is the goal of this new type of command headquarters.

The guideline urged all army units to listen to CMC Chairman Xi Jinping's instructions, which focused on the establishment of a strong army that was fit to operate in the contemporary military environment.

The guideline is to strengthen and improve the army unit’s political and ideological structure through Xi's instructions and to always focus on the Party's direct leadership of the military, which would ensure absolute loyalty, morality and reliability.

The guideline also urged all army units to strengthen command measures, through the building of integrated platforms, networks, software and databases, and to establish a joint operation command model based on an "information system".
