Bharat Forge, FutureNet To Setup Defense and Security Units In India

Indian Defense firm Bharat Forge and US-based FutureNet Group inked defense and security partnerships during the ongoing Vibrant Gujarat Summit on Sunday.

According to the partnership, Bharat Forge will set up a unit for upgrade and overhaul of armored vehicles in the Indian state of Gujarat. FutureNet will invest $95 million for a unit that will deal in Guard Booths, Cable and Mobile Barrier Canopies.

Meanwhile, a local firm Abhyuday Techno Economic Consultants Pvt Ltd announced to set up a mega defense equipment park in North Gujarat for re-engineering at the cost of $28 million.
