Cubic Global Defense announced Thursday that it will demonstrate its Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) ITESS-2 and Tactical Vehicle System (TVS) at the IDEF International Defence exhibition held from May 5-8, in Istanbul, Turkey.

MILES TVS is the manworn and the vehicular versions of Cubic's enhanced laser engagement simulation system. It equips High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs) and other tactical vehicles with lasers, sensors and electronics used during force-on-force combat training exercises.

MILES TVS uses Cubic's wireless technology to provide real-time casualty assessment for tactical engagement training in direct-fire instrumented training scenarios. The I-TESS 2 version is a portable C2 version that can be used anywhere in Turkey for real-time fully instrumented live force-on-force training.

The demonstration of products and services also includes PRISim, a virtual training system, where trainees use a series of simulators allowing Special Forces, Police and Security personnel to train on the use of force continuum.Trainees learn when to use less than lethal weapons as opposed to deadly force in a given engagement.

Cubic's PRISim product line can be used for both live fire and virtual training. PRISim is in use extensively with the General Directorate of Security.

Another demonstrated product and service is Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI). Cubic's range-less ACMI systems support live and post-mission air-to-air and air-to-ground combat training for fast jet aircrew.

The ACMI systems use advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, data links and processors to track, record and display fighter aircraft during live training. The data collected is used for both real-time display and post-mission debrief.

Cubic's ACMI systems are integrated on fighter aircraft such as F-16, F-15, F-18, F-35, Hawk, Eurofighter Typhoon, MiG-29 and Su-30.
