908 Devices' High Pressure Mass Spectrometry To Support US Army's Chemical Detector

US army has selected 908 Devices’ patented High-Pressure Mass Spectrometry (HPMS) to power Next-Generation Chemical Detector.

The contract supports the Army’s Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) defense programs, the company announced today.

Jointly with Smiths Detection, 908 Devices will move into the next phase of technology development and testing to provide first responder and military teams with capabilities to detect and identify Non-Traditional Agents, Chemical Warfare Agents, Toxic Industrial Chemicals, and other hazards in the air and on surfaces in all states of matter.

The new product from the program will utilizies 908 Devices’ patented high-pressure mass spectrometryTM (HPMS) technology, which makes it possible for first responders to perform powerful chemical analysis in the field.
