South Korea has set to manufacture components for USA's Global Hawk Unmanned aircraft systems( UAS).

The Global Hawk drones deliver a broad overview and systematic intelligence of target areas by using high-resolution radar and long-range electro-optical and infrared sensors. the principal manufacturer Northrop Grumman announced Friday.

Manufacturing of the first South Korean Global Hawk is currently underway at Northrop Grumman's Moss Point, Mississippi facility. Meanwhile, final aircraft production will take place in Palmdale, California.

Global Hawk supports military missions, anti-terrorism, anti-piracy, scientific and environmental work, as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts anywhere in the world, Northrop Grumman added.
