Israel Aerospace Industries has showcased two new variants of Harop loitering munitions at the on-going Singapore Airshow this week.

The Harpy New Generation, or Harpy NG, is an updated version of its predecessor designed to counter modern air defense radar threats. The new variant is able to cover lower frequencies, and features a more advanced airframe enhancing its flight capabilities, loiter time, range and altitude, the company said in a statement Monday.

In addition to the Harpy NG, IAI also introduced the Green Dragon. The Green Dragon is a tactical, all-electric loitering munition designed to provide both firepower and situational awareness to small ground and special operations units.

The Green Dragon is able to engage enemy targets while also collecting visual intelligence at a range of up to 24 miles. Twelve to 16 of the munitions, launched from sealed canisters, can be carried on a small vehicle at a time. The LM also features an "abort and go around" capability.
