Ukraine Gets New Commander For Navy
Lieutenant General Igor Voronchenko

Lieutenant General Igor Voronchenko will be the new Commander of the Ukrainian naval forces.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Voronchenko after dismissing former Navy Commander Sergei Haiduk on April 15 this year; Tass quoted the Ukranian press service as reporting Monday.

"After consultation with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I have decided to coordinate your candidacy We give a specific time for you to show their best qualities.", - The president said during a meeting with General -leytenantom.

Sergei Haiduk held the position since March 2014.
