Elbit Systems has won a $20 million contract from a Western European country for the supply of tactical mobile radios of the E-LynX Software Defined Radios (SDR) family.
The new systems will be installed on a variety of combat vehicles and integrated into soldier dismounted systems. The contract will be performed over a three-year period, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
The E-LynX radio solution offers voice, data and video services simultaneously, along with integrated blue force tracking capabilities, both in narrow and wide band waveforms. Based on Mobile Ad-Hoc Networking (MANET) capabilities, the E-LynX solution is designed to serve as the mobile networking backbone for modern Battle Management Systems (BMS) and soldier systems.
