Erapsco Wins $101 Million US Navy Sonobuoy Contract
Ultra Electronics and Sparton Corporation joint venture, ‘Erapsco’ has won a $101.1 million contract for the manufacture of sonobuoys for the US Navy.
The contract is for five-years and Erapsco will provide production in the amount of $46.8 million and $54.3 million to Ultra Electronics USSI and Sparton De Leon Springs respectively, Sparton said in a statement Tuesday.
Production will take place at Ultra Electronics USSI’s Columbia City, IN facility and Sparton’s De Leon Springs, FL facility and is expected to be completed by September 2017.
