New Combat Uniform For Malaysian Air Force Personnel

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) introduced new combat uniform that utilizes modern digital pixel technology in comfortable-to-wear fabric.

The uniforms were introduced to the public for the first time in conjunction with the Air Force's 58th Anniversary march-past ceremony at the Kuantan Air Base today, Bernama reported.

RMAF Chief, Gen Tan Sri Roslan Saad said the uniform, which could be used during field training, operations and drills, had modern features, besides looking more neat and smart.

The new uniform, which replaced the previous one in use for more than 20 years, "will be able to enhance the image of the RMAF, in line with the expansion of its functions and operations currently", he told reporters at the ceremony.

He said it also breathed new life into every member of the RMAF, to perform duties better.

The ceremony, which was attended by over 500 guests including the public, also included an air show by the Air Force Special Team and parachute demonstration by RMAF personnel.

Among the aircrafts involved in the demonstrations were the Pilatus PC-7 Mk II, EC725 and Nuri helicopters, as well as the Sukhoi SU 30MKM, F/A 18D4 and MiG29N figther aircrafts.
