China Commissions New Guided Missile Destroyer

China has commissioned a new guided-missile destroyer, Yinchuan at a naval port in Sanya, a port city in China's island province Hainan.

The new missile destroyer (hull number 175), is more than 150 meters long and about 20 meters wide. It is the PLA Navy’s advanced guided-missile destroyer in active service developed and built by China indigenously, Chinamil reported Tuesday.

Zhou Xuming, deputy commander of the South China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy attended the ceremony and presented the navy ensign and naming certificate for the new destroyer.
