Thales To Modernize Master Radars For Swiss Air Force

Thales has won a 74 million Euros contract to modernize Master radars over a period of 60 months for Swiss Air Force as part of the FLORAKO program.

This contract will be the main order within the broader FLORAKO radars life extension project approved by the Swiss government in 2016, the company announced Wednesday.

FLORAKO is a Swiss radar system for military and civil aviation. The acronym stands for FLORIDA radar replacement air radar system capable communication system

This technological update will enable the Swiss Air Force to maintain operational excellence up until 2030.

The contract is awarded with intention to extend the lifespan of the radars and to ensure operational excellence until 2030.
