Thales welcomed Indo-French signing of the deal for the purchase of 36 Rafale fighters asserting the equipment used in the fighters made by the French company.
Thales provides radar, electronic warfare systems, optronics and communication navigation and identification system (CNI) and other components to Dassault’s Rafale fighter aircraft.
Thales also provides majority of the cockpit display systems, power generation systems and a logistics support component for the 36 Rafales India is buying, the company said in a statement Friday.
The official signing ceremony for the acquisition of 36 Rafale aircraft happened in the presence of the Indian Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, the French Defense Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, Eric Trappier and the Chairman and CEO of Thales, Patrice Caine.
