Boeing has secured a $541 million foreign military sales contract for production lot 15 CH-47F cargo renew and new build helicopters for Netherlands.
Work will be completed by December 31, 2020, the US department of defense announced today.
Netherlands ordered $1.05 billion in Boeing-built CH-47Fs and associated equipment from the U.S. government through an FMS agreement the State Department cleared in March 2015.
The Dutch air force uses the Chinook platform in troop movement, medical evacuation, disaster relief, firefighting and search-and-rescue operations as well as support homeland defense and security cooperation efforts.
CH-47F Chinook helicopters are equipped with an integrated digital cockpit management system, a common aviation architecture cockpit and cargo handling systems.
