Russia’s Su-35 Super Flanker aircraft will be upgraded this year given the experience of its combat use in Syria, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said.

"This year Su-35C aircraft will be upgraded based on all the drawbacks and the Syrian experience," he was quoted as saying by the Russian media during a visit to the Gagarin aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, part of the Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company in the Russia's Far East.

The deputy defense minister specified the technical glitches with its light and screens, which were later fixed during the combat use.

The ministry said that it contracted ten aircraft annually, which the plant will supply by 2020.

"Our pilots, who serve in Syria, say it is one of the best aircraft in the world in the flight-technical characteristics, the nomenclature and the range of weapons," he said. "They believe the aircraft cannot be compared in combat use with any other plane, and thus foreign clients have been considering this aircraft".
