Algeria Unveils Locally Modified Self-propelled Artillery Systems

Algeria showcased two modified self-propelled artillery systems for the first time to the public during a Military Industry Fair on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of its independence and Youth Day early July.

The military show displayed a 122 mm D-30 (2A18) howitzer fitted on a 6x6 Mercedes-Benz Zetros vehicle and a 100 mm MT-12 (2A29) anti-tank gun mounted on a 6x6 Zetros truck, defenceWeb reports Tuesday.

Other vehicles displayed included a Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck with a 23 mm ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun mounted on the back, a Nimr Ajban 4x4 vehicle armed with a remote weapon station and BTR 60 with Kornet anti-tank missiles.
