Vectrus Systems Corp has won a $97 million US Air Force contract to provide base operations support services at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.
The contract has a seven year period of performance and represents new work to Vectrus, the company announced Monday.
Keesler is home to the 81st Training Wing and is the U.S. Air Force Electronics Training Center of Excellence. The training center at Keesler Air Force Base handles more than 28,000 students annually. The base is also home to 2nd Air Force, 403rd Wing (Hurricane Hunters), Mathies Noncommissioned Officer Academy and the 85th Engineering Installation Squadron.
"Vectrus is a provider of facilities and logistics services to the Air Force in eight countries” Chuck Prow, president and chief executive officer of Vectrus said.
Support provided by Vectrus under the Keesler contract includes installation and mission operations management, installation and facility engineering, emergency response management, grounds maintenance, supply services, community services, vertical transportation equipment, human resources support, and weather services.
