Northrop Grumman is said to be nearing to buy Orbital ATK in a deal reportedly valued at an approximate $7.5 billion.

A deal between the two defense contractors could be announced as soon as Monday, Wall Street Journal reported quoting unnamed people familiar with the matter on Sunday.

The combination would unite two major defense contractors, adding Orbital’s expertise in rocketry, missiles to Northrop’s aerospace and defense electronics.
