The export portfolio of Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport has reached $44 billion as of September 2017, head of Russia’s state technologies corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov said.
"Total supplies through Rosoboronexport reached more than twofold over the last decade, from 6 to almost 13 bln US Dollars. The portfolio of orders amounts to about $44 bln as of September 2017," Chemezov was quoted as saying by TASS today.
Russian products are delivered to seventy countries of the world within the defense technology cooperation framework. "The Middle East and North African market accounts for the lion’s share of supplies. Cooperation with Latin American nations is also underway," the top manager said.
Rosoboronexport's Deputy Director General Igor Sevastyanov said on Wednesday has broadened the sales prospects and will now export weapons and equipment to civilians as well as foreign militaries.
Rosoboronexport is responsible for over 85 percent of Russian arms and military technology export.
