Qatar has agreed on purchase of 490 VBCI armored vehicles and 50 Airbus twin-engine A321 airplanes with an option of buying 30 more from France.
Qatar will buy the VBCI armored vehicles from French Nexter, the agreements were signed as part of $12 billion deals during the French president Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Doha on Thursday.
Qatar also bought 12 additional Dassault Rafale fighters bringing the total number of aircraft to 36.
Macron is traveling with Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on a one-day trip to Qatar.
