Raytheon is being awarded a $25.8 million modification contract for six Submarine High Data Rate (SubHDR) antenna systems.

The SubHDR antenna system is used to provide submarines with high capacity communications in the extremely high frequency and super high frequency bands and enables reception of the global broadcast service, the US department of defense said in a statement Wednesday.

This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $114.7 million. Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2019. This contract combines purchases for the Navy and the governments of United Kingdom and Australia under the Foreign Military Sales program.
