The US will supply machine guns to Ukraine as part of Memorandum of Cooperation to build a joint combat module according to NATO standards.

Ukranian SpetsTechnoExport and Ukroboronprom signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with an American company on building a joint combat module according to NATO standards on June 14 at International exhibition Eurosatory 2018.

The American company has shown interest in the joint production of non-standard weapons, organized at one of Ukroboronprom enterprises, the company said in a statement last Friday.

Ukroboronprom did not mention the name of the US company in the press release. The parties expect that the combat module will be supplied to the armed forces of Ukraine, as well as in the interests of third countries.

Ukraine following the course of joining the North Atlantic Alliance is stepping toward the introduction of NATO standards for the manufacture of weapons and equipment, aimed at the compatibility of arms of Allies countries and Ukraine.
