Progeny Systems has won $17 million contract, with optional production orders, for the procurement of engineering and technical services including software development, commercial off-the-shelf products and hardware and software integration for submarine and undersea warfare weapons systems.

This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $92 million. Work is expected to be completed by June 2019, the US department of defense said in a statement Friday.

Fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funding in the amount of $6,542,828 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
