Chemring Sensors and Electronic Systems has won a $92.5 million contract to procure Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS) systems, spare and repair parts for the United States Army.
Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 15, 2022, the US department of defense said in a statement Wednesday.
HMDS is a ground penetrating radar (GPR) system. The HMDS GPR technology combines advanced real-time Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms, integrated GPR and electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensors, global positioning system (GPS), recordable missions for after action review functions and analysis, automatic precision marking, and user friendly software.
