NIITEK To Supply Husky Mounted Detection Systems To Australian Government

NIITEK has won a $6.9 million contract from the Australian Government for the production and delivery of ten Husky Mounted Detection Systems (HMDS) and spare parts for Australian Army. The HMDS is a multi-panel high performance which has VISOR Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system that combines advanced real time Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms, integrated metallic and non-metallic threat detection, automatic precision marking, remote Visualization (R-VIS) capability. By the end of November 2012 delivery of the product is expected to take place. The HMDS is user-friendly software and provides rapid ability to scope out anti-vehicular landmines and other explosive hazards on main supply routes (MSRs) and additional open areas as needed.
