Uruguay Receives Three Cessna Skymaster Utility Helicopters from Chile

The Uruguayan Naval Aviation (ANU) service has received three Cessna O-2A Skymaster light utility aircraft from the Chilean Naval Aviation service.

The three aircraft donated by Chile arrived at the Uruguay’s Capitán Curbelo Naval Aviation Base last Friday, Janes reported Monday.

The Skymasters will be used for spares and for coastal patrol and search and rescue operations, increasing the ANU’s small air fleet. ANU currently has two Beech Super King Air twin turboprops and two T-34C-1 Turbo Mentor single-turboprop trainers asn well as one Eurocopter HB 355 Esquilo utility helicopter and two BO 105P light helicopters, the news daily reported.
