Lockheed Martin Wins $356 Million to Modernize US Army’s Tactical Trainer Module

Lockheed Martin has won a potential 10 year contract valued at $356.3 million to modernize the United States Army’s Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) Manned Module system.

The Army Contracting Command received three bids for the project via an online-based solicitation process and will provide funds and work locations over the ordering period that runs through Aug. 20, 2028, the US department of defense said in a statement Wednesday.

The CCTT integrates all facets of combat vehicle operations to immerse warfighters in the scenarios they will face on the battlefield. Through the CCTT, units train and are validated in tactics, doctrine, weapons systems, mission planning and rehearsals, according to Lockheed Martin.

The CCTT presents logistics, artillery, mortar and aviation units to a synthetic battlefield with realistic terrain. Soldiers move, shoot and communicate on this battlefield by operating combat vehicles and employing simulated weapon systems.
