Leonardo has won an approximate $147 million from the Polish Ministry of National Defense for the supply of four additional M-346 Advanced Jet trainers (AJT).

The option includes a support package and upgrade of the entire M-346 fleet to the NATO STANAG 4193 Edition 3 IFF standard developed by Leonardo, the company said in a statement Friday.

With this decision, the Polish Air Force will complete its lead-in-fighter training fleet modernization with deliveries within 2022. Polish fleet will increase to 16 aircraft, with the inclusion of the four additional M-346 jet trainers.
