Saab Develops Reversible Thermal Pattern Camouflage System for Military Vehicles

Swedish firm Saab has developed ARCASe (Advanced Reversible Camouflage Screen emissive), its first reversible thermal pattern camouflage system for military vehicles and other assets.

The ARCASe will be displayed for the first time at the DSEI-2019 exhibition at London, United Kingdom, to be held between 10-13 September, the company announced Thursday.

The camouflage system works by masking and disrupting thermal signature of the vehicles to blend in with the background. The ARCASe’s visible pattern is reversible which means it has different colours on each side allowing the user to choose which is most effective without comprising the thermal protection.
