India's state-run Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at DefExpo 2020 with a Bengaluru-based startup to develop Unmanned systems, Swarm technologies, and more.

Newspace Research & Technologies Limited (NRT) and BEL will co-operate in the design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing and supply of Unmanned Systems, Swarm technologies, stratospheric platforms and related payloads, and to provide lifetime support to the Indian Defence forces and non-defence customers, the companies said in a joint statement.

The MoU will enable BEL to make joint efforts with NRT to seize opportunities in the Unmanned Systems and related domains in both Indian as well as global markets.
