Israeli cyber-surveillance firm NSO, which hit the headline last year due to its cellphone hacking technology used in the Jamal Khashoggi affair, has purchased Convexum, an Israeli company specializing in drone hacking.

NSO’s acquisition of Convexum for $60 million is targeted at offering security solution for public spaces. The rogue drones can be hacked using Convexum’s technology and then can be made to land wherever required, Globes reported last week.

The two first countries to use this technology are New Zealand and Australia.
