Northrop Grumman has scored a $158.4 million deal to support South Korean RQ-4 Global Hawk drones.
This contract provides for aircraft spares and contractor logistics support. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to the Republic of Korea, the U.S. Department of Defense said in a release today.
Work will be performed in the Republic of Korea and Sierra Vista, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by February 29, 2024.
Seoul placed an order for four of these drones for $847 million in 2011. Delivery of the aircraft was completed in September. A South Korean official stated recently that an oil leak was found in the landing gear of one aircraft, with a core control sensor-related problem detected at another.
