Russia's Ruselectronics Begins Delivering Reconnaissance System Meant for Aircraft, Drones

Russia’s Ruselectronics Holding has started deliveries of newly developed reconnaissance systems that can be fitted on all types of aircraft including drones.

The BKR system has been produced by Vega Concern’s Kulon Research Institute. The company has already handed over first batch of these systems to the customer.

BKR is placed in overhead containers. It transmits data to the Vega ground-based information processing complexes which ensure the collection, processing and operational decryption of data in real time. Then the information obtained forms the basis for planning and organizing combat operations, Rostec said in a statement.

“The use of basic reconnaissance systems with fourth-generation Pika-M radars allows you to quickly receive the necessary information about ground and surface objects at any time of the day and in any weather conditions, including through clouds. All the complexes use a single data bus to interact with the aircraft, therefore they are completely interchangeable,” said Vyacheslav Mikheev, General Director of the Vega concern.
