Some 13 export orders worth over €1 billion were clinched at MAKS 2021 including Su-30SME aircraft and Mi-35M Helicopters.

Due to U.S. sanctions against Russian defense and financial entities, Moscow does provide financial details of its defense exports. In recent months, it has stopped valuing its defense exports in U.S. dollar values and prefers the Euro or Chinese Yuan instead.

“Rosoboronexport made the most of the potential of MAKS-2021, signing 13 export contracts on the sidelines of the showroom for the supply of Russian military products worth more than one billion euros,” general director of the company, Alexander Mikheev, was quoted as saying by Izvestia on Thursday.

Customers have placed orders for Su-30SME aircraft, Mi-35M and Mi-17V5 helicopters, Protivnik-GE radar stations, Verba MANPADS, modern aviation weapons, as well as armored vehicles.

Russian arms exports in the recent years amounts to nearly $15 billion annually, and the total order book remains at the level of $ 50 billion.
