Saudi-led Coalition Launches Airstrike on Yemen for U.A.E. Attacks

The Saudi Arabia-led coalition launched a retaliatory airstrike on Yemen’s capital Sana’a on Monday for Houti rebels drone attack targeting Abu Dhabi.

As per reports, the coalition attack left 11 people, including a former Yemeni military official and his son, dead. This comes after the Houti rebels killed three and injured more than eight people. This attack on U.A.E.’s soil reportedly triggered even a fuel tank blast.

Houti military commander brigadier general Yahya Saree confirmed on state-owned Al-Masirah that the group used five ballistic missiles a large number of drones in their “Operation Hurricane Yemen” targeting Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, Musaffah oil refinery and other important Emirati sites and facilities. He added that the Saudi-led coalition comprising the U.A.E., Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco and Jordan launched over 24 airstrikes in various Yemeni sites, causing extensive damage.
